Good Shepherd Church is a vibrant and living congregation that is committed to proclaiming the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ. For thirty-eight years, we have been active in the Waldorf/St Charles community offering prayer, worship, outreach and care. We are proud of our Education Center which provides over two hundred young children each year with an opportunity to learn and be cared for through the day in a safe and nurturing Christian environment.

An exciting discipleship ministry that offers short-term and on-going classes as well as retreats and spiritual growth resources to help children, youth and adults grow in the relationship with Jesus Christ.

A music ministry that involves many different choirs for children, youth and adults as well as hand bell, praise band and Bluegrass ensembles.

An active youth program with extensive confirmation classes, choirs, weekly fellowship events, Sunday school and mission trips.

A variety of uplifting and worship services each week:

  • 8:00 Meditation and Communion
  • 9:15 Lively Blended Service
  • 11:00 Traditional Service

A strong commitment to outreach and service projects both locally and beyond.

Our purpose is to build a community where persons encounter God's love, hear Christ's call and serve with the Spirit's help.

Our Vision: We at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church are to be a garden of growing disciples of Jesus Christ where the seeds of God's grace are planted in the lives of all who are in need, faith is growing in the lives of believers, and the fruit of the Spirit is made evident in the church and the larger community.

Our mission, you will find, is inclusive Christianity to extend the boundaries of the Good Shepherd worship experience and ministries to the local community that makes Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors a reality. I hope that you will find a warm welcome with us and come to know the living Christ in our midst.
