If you haven't ever been, join us; if you have not been in a while, join us; if you always come, join us. We have a space reserved for every child, youth and adult in Good Shepherd.

UMCOR: Emergency Response
UMCOR is the global humanitarian aid organization of The United Methodist Church, working in more than 80 countries worldwide, including the United States. Their mission is to alleviate human suffering—whether caused by war, conflict or natural disaster—with open minds and hearts to all people. They partner with people to rebuild their livlihoods, health, and homes. In times of acute crisis they mobilize aid to stricken areas—emergency supplies, fresh water, and temporary shelter. They stay, as long as it takes, to implement long-term recovery and rehabilitation. Donations to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) response can be made online through UMC.org's secure server.

Please pray for God to direct you into a way you can serve Christ and don't hesitate to speak with Rev. Larsen about how. |

CARD MINISTRY
|
|
One of the ways to show love is to let our members, friends and community know we care when they are sick, struggling through a difficult time, grieving the loss of a loved one or just not able to make it to church. Good Shepherd is doing this through a card ministry. We ask you to help us reach your family, friends, and our community (Good Shepherd membership not required) by letting us know who might benefit from a card. Contact Carol Berry or by calling the church office at 301-843-6797. You can also lift someone up in prayers through the online prayer chain by contacting Anne Heffentreyer at aheffentreyer@earthlink.net.
